Even though you say all the tubes are good... I would suspect the tone osc/vox relay actuator V11 and the 2nd af amp v1B

I've seen this problem before...

Admittently, this is usually an easy problem to locate. This is one has been a challenge for me and I'm not to proud to ask for help.

 

When attempting to tune-up the 32S-3; K-1 and K-2 pull-up properly but there is no Screen Voltage on the Finals. Slight pressure on the Armature of K-1brings-up the screen voltage and the unit can be tuned as normal.

 

This is with the PTT Pot in PTT-On Position. I only mention this because if I set the PTT Control to about 9:00 O'clock, K-1 pulls-in correctly W/O additional pressure on the armature and tune-up is normal. This would seem to exonerate K-1. Occasionally, in this situation, K-1 wants to Chatter or Pulse.

 

All tubes associated with this procedure test good. Additionally, I have carefully cleaned the contacts of K-1 with a tool designed for that purpose. If anyone has been down this road, I would appreciate some guidance.
