Re: {Collins} 32S-1 Manual

Hi Dick,

I should be getting an early 32S-1 manual in the mail from Guy WA6OQQ in the next few days. I will scan it and send you a CD of it before I clean it up for the CCA Archives. Once it looks good it will be in the archives and you can download the nice looking version from there.

I am guessing it will take a few days to get it scanned depending on my workload from the XYL. :)

Subject: {Collins} 32S-1 Manual

Hello to the Group,

I wonder if anyone out there has a manual or even a schematic for a very early 32S-1 (serial 203). This unit was dead, no grid drive, and I found a cold solder joint (C-3) and got the tone osc. back on line. The xmtr. now works fine on 80 & 40 but no drive on 10-15-20. Changed out a questionable cap. in the grid ckt. of the finals and got a little drive on 20. No joy on 10 & 15. Crazy thing is when I put the scope probe on grid on the finals power jumps way up on 20. The grid ckt. on this old rig is different than the later 32S-1's. Looks like I'm going to have to get the correct schematic to fix
it. Please let me know if you can help.

Thank You,
Dick Moen, K0YAB
