[NEohioPAL] RE: Question about listing in NEohioPAL Digest "Film Boot Camp"

I was interested in this NEHST Film Boot Camp that is coming up. Has anyone ever attended this particular boot camp before?
What does one get out of these workshops? Were you satisfied with what was presented? Do you think it is a scam or even worth four hundred dollars?

Thanks

THE HARMONY PLAYERS presents "KIMBERLY AKIMBO"
The Harmony Players at The Harmony Spot in North Canton opens it's 2008 season with the comedy "Kimberly Akimbo" on Saturday and Sunday January 11-12 and 19-20.
Written by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire, the comedy centers on Kimberly Levaco, a sixteen year old living with her hypochondriac mother, alcoholic father, and scam artist aunt.  Despite her family, Kimberly is a normal teenager with one exception: a rapid-aging disease making her appear 4 1/2 times older than her actual age.  Kimberly accepts her situation but is given a new challenge: first love.
Denise Robb of Canton appears as Kimberly.  Andy Schreve of Uniontown is Jeff McCracken, a classmate and Kimberly's friend.  Joan Bozman and
Anthony Antoniades, both of Louisville are Kimberly's parents.  Anne Walker of Massillon completes the cast as Aunt Debra.
Performances are at The Harmony Spot, 1227 North Main Street in North Canton.  Tickets for dinner and show are $20.  Show only tickets are $12.00.
Seating is limited and reservations are required.
For reservations and dinner choices, call The Harmony Spot at 330-305-1466.
"Kimberly Akimbo" contains very strong language and is recommended for adults.
The Harmony Players is North Canton's newest theater.  Twelve productions are scheduled for its 2008 season with most presented in an
intimate setting.  Participation in the group is volunteer and open to everyone interested in theater.

Subject: [NEohioPAL] Pickwick & Frolic's THE MIDNIGHT MARTINI SHOW Final Performances in January 2008

Start spreading the news--Pickwick & Frolic's THE
MIDNIGHT MARTINI SHOW has scheduled its final regular
performances for January of 2008.

After a 4 1/2 year run on the Frolic Cabaret Stage
every Friday and Saturday night at midnight, Pickwick
& Frolic's tribute to Sinatra's Vegas is closing. The
show which opened in May 2003 currently features
original cast members Ian Atwood, Eileen Burns, Betsy
Kahl as the showgirl and features Gregory Cross on
drums. Keith Faris joined the show after its first
year replacing Donnie Long. Costumes were designed by
Jenniver Sparano. THE MIDNIGHT MARTINI SHOW was
created and directed by Cleveland native Michael
Rogaliner and music directed by John DiSanto.

Over the years THE MIDNIGHT MARTINI SHOW has scored
mentions in The New York Times, USA Today, The
Cleveland Plain Dealer and various other national and
local papers. It was also featured prominently on
Rachael Ray's Tasty Travels when she came to
Cleveland. It has been a favorite of nearly every top
national comedian that has played the Hilarities
stage.

A hallmark of the show from early on was the Martini
Show "Guest Spot" during which national and local
performers would perform on stage with the cast.
Highlights have included film actor Danny Aiello's
rendition of "Pennies From Heaven" and The Phantom of
the Opera's touring Carlotta's emotional "Bewitched,
Bothered and Bewildered." THE MIDNIGHT MARTINI SHOW
has been privileged to have some of Cleveland's best
local talent perform in the show. Look for an
announcement of returning local favorites for the
final performances.

THE MIDNIGHT MARTINI SHOW continues to party every
Friday and Saturday at midnight in the Frolic Cabaret
in December with its 5th annual holiday edition. In
2008, the classic Rat Pack version will return for a
final victory lap of four performances every Saturday
night in January.

The Frolic Cabaret is part of Pickwick & Frolic
Restaurant & Club and is Cleveland's premiere cabaret
space. Its state of the art lighting and sound
envelope a cozy 125-seat room conducive to parties and
cabarets. Pickwick & Frolic is located at 2035 East
Fourth St. across from the House of Blues Restaurant.
Look for new entertainment in the Frolic Cabaret soon.

THE MIDNIGHT MARTINI SHOW cast and staff wish to thank
Cleveland and Pickwick for this phenomenal 4 1/2 year
run. Thousands of supportive fans have celebrated
some great moments with the cast including
first-dates, engagements, post-wedding nightcaps,
anniversaries, time on leave from Iraq, birthdays and
the occasional divorce. We look forward to seeing you
one more time. As Frank Sinatra once said, "The most
intense living begins at midnight."

THE MIDNIGHT MARTINI SHOW is, as always, free and open
to the public.

Subject: [NEohioPAL] Christmas Carol Wars Benefit THIS Saturday

Please consider attending (or supporting with a
donation) this Saturday's BENEFIT for Pathways Counseling & Growth
Center.

I'll be leading fun "Christmas Carol Wars" and some
singalong (holiday and non-holiday, as requested) tunes Saturday, December 22,
6-8 p.m., at Elyria's Carlisle Cafe, 1509 Grafton Rd. (at Fuller Rd;
440-458-6516).  Bid to hear (or NOT hear) certain holiday tunes.
Dare a friend to solo or duet at the mic.  Throw something in the tip jar
if a particular tune played is one of your favs.  Request a song.
Whatever!  The point is, bring cash or your check book (or write an I.O.U.
which you promise to honor during 2008).  All contributions will go
directly to Lorain County's only faith-based, not-for-profit counseling center
(href="">www.pathwayscounselingcenter.com).

Can't attend?  Please consider sending--today,
or in the months ahead--a tax-deductible donation to Pathways, 312 Third St.,
Elyria, OH  44035.

Pathways provides counseling for people of all
income levels, and utilizes sliding scale fees for the uninsured and/or
under-insured.  Clients may opt to have their particular spiritual faith
included as part of the counseling process, although this is not a
requirement for treatment; the Center's services are available to all
persons,

The Center counsels adults, children,
couples, and families to help them develop their full potential.
Commonly-addressed issues include depression, single-parenting, life
transitions, school and social issues of adolescents, motivation, stress, lack
of personal fulfillment, marriage counseling, pre-marital counseling, anger
management, financial issues, bereavement/loss, faith/spiritual concerns,
anxiety, parenting strategies, etc.  Contact Pathways for more
information:  440-323-5707.

Thanks for caring!!

May this holy season fill you and yours with peace,
love and joy, and may the coming year bring you happiness, health and
prosperity.
