FAT FISH BLUE Hosts Blind Pig Recording Artists the CHICAGO RHYTHM
AND BLUES KINGS FRIDAY January 25
The Chicago Rhythm and Blues
Kings have been laying down their smooth and funky blend of horn-driven
blues and soul music for over 20 years. The band came together in the
early 1970's as the backing band for the acclaimed Larry "Big Twist"
Nolan. Performing music in the great American soul tradition of Ray
Charles, Little Milton, Hank Ballard and Junior Parker, “Big Twist” and
the band released four records on Flying Fish and Alligator before Twist
passed away in 1990. Their self-titled Blind Pig Records debut was
produced by the legendary Gene "Daddy G" Barge, formerly a songwriter,
arranger and staff producer for Chess Records. Gene's many credits include
work with Little Milton, Willie Dixon and the Rolling Stones. Gene often
performs with the band around Chicago, and makes occasional gigs out of
town also. Chicago blues, Memphis soul and classic, swinging R&B on
the stage at Fat Fish Blue stage. Sure to be a great show! Friday,
