TrueNorth Symphony, directed by James Traxler, presents its Winter Concert Friday and Saturday nights featuring Amy King performing the Bach Violin Concerto No. 1 in A Minor.  Friday night is at Avon Lake United Church of Christ, 32801 Electric Blvd. in Avon Lake, just west of Route 83.  Saturday night is at the Lorain County Metro Parks French Creek Nature Center in Ewing Hall, 4530 Colorado Ave. (Route 611) in Sheffield Village, 2.5 miles west of the I-90/Rt. 611 interchange.  Both concerts begin at 7:30 pm.

 

Also on the program are Bizet’s “Carmen Suite No. 1,” Adagio from Dvorak’s Symphony No. 8, and “Representation of Chaos” from The Creation by Haydn.  Rounding out the program are several small ensemble performances of chamber works by Telemann, LeClair, and Rossini.

 

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, and can be purchased at the door or on-line at www.TNCArts.org.
