Tannis Kowalchuk, co-founder, actress, and artistic director of NACL Theatre (North American Cultural Laboratory), an ensemble that operates a theatre and artists residence in Highland Lak e, NY, will be teaching a workshop on crafting performances out of non-dramatic verse.  The workshop will instruct the participants in ways that an actor can create his or her own original physical and vocal material—raw material to be used as the physical subtext of their performance piece.   The class will end with presentations of the poetry performances, with a brief discussion and analysis to follow.

Please be dressed to move and bring pencil and paper for notation and writing exercises.
