OPERA WESTERN RESERVE SEEKING SINGERS

OPERA Western Reserve, a professional opera company, is casting its fall 2008 production of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly (in Italian), Susan Davenny Wyner, Music Director and David Vosburgh, Stage Director. Rehearsals are in Youngstown beginning mid-October. The performance on Friday, Nov. 7 in Stambaugh Auditorium, Youngstown, OH, is fully staged with orchestra.

All roles are open and all ethnicities are encouraged to apply. We are also interested in hearing singers for future productions of Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Carmen, Tosca and Don Giovanni. Particularly interested in Mezzos, Tenors and singers we have not heard before. Please be prepared to sing an aria each in Italian, French and English.

Please send requests for audition appointments with picture and resume via U.S. Mail to OPERA Western Reserve, 1000 Fifth Avenue, Youngstown, OH 44504. Auditions will be onstage at Stambaugh Auditorium on Wednesday, March 26^th, 2008. An accompanist will be provided ($10.00 fee per auditionee).
