Lorain Palace Youth Theatre (PYT) has staff positions open for the 2008 summer season

This will be the 31st year for Lorain's summer theatre camp for children.

Potential employees must work well with children ages 8  to 18 years of age.
The theatre camp runs weekdays at the Lorain Palace Theatre from 9:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and is open to 60 - 70 students.
The camp culminates with all the students presenting a major musical theatre performance on the Palace stage.
Previous shows:  2006 Honk, Jr.;  2007 Seussical;
Staff is involved in teaching workshops during the morning, and running rehearsals in the afternoon.
Salary is commensurate with experience.

    	Handle auditions
    	Teach acting through dance
    	Choreograph musical play

2.	Tech Director
Experience with fly system is a must
Manage the flying of drops
Familiarity with Palace lightboards is a plus
   	Design lights for production
    	Build Sets
   	Props
   	Special effects
Teach tech workshops
        
3.	Producer/Public Relations    
Main responsibility is handling all the financial aspects of the camp 
and production as well as being a liaison for the staff, parents, and community.
Responsibilities include selling Ads, getting sponsors, supervising t-shirts and marquee pictures for campers,
advertising the play production with press releases and show posters, creating the play program and front of house displays.
Minimal involvement with campers

4.	Costumer
    	Coordinate the costumes for the play being produced at the end of the camp.
    	Camp may involve 60 - 80 children.

5.	Assistant Music Director/Rehearsal Pianist
   	Assist Music Director with auditions, all classes and rehearsals
            
6.	Assistant Producer
    	Assist Producer with tasks
    	Assist other staff with student campers
    	Deal with emergencies and absences
    	Coordinate parent volunteers
