FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March
3, 2008 SILENT AUCTION, FASHION SHOW BENEFITS
CANAL FULTON, Ohio -- Each year, the major fundraising
event for the Ohio Youth Ballet gets more entertaining and exciting — and
that’s exactly what this year’s silent auction and fashion show is
shaping up to be. Not only are guests in for an evening of fine dining
and exceptional dance performances Friday, April 4, but a silent auction, music,
basket raffle and 50-50 drawing are all scheduled. Tickets are available now for
“Dancing with the Stars” Silent Auction, which begins at 6 p.m. at
Glenmoor Country Club, Both
the Youth Ballet and Dance Team divisions of the Ohio Youth Ballet will
perform. Students from The Turning Pointe School of Dance have been invited to
dance, and talented ballroom dance instructor Joseph Rittenhouse will provide a
demonstration with former OYB member and Turning Pointe instructor Heather
Mihal. Rittenhouse, who was certified at a Fred Astaire studio and has trained
with top professionals, teaches ballroom and Latin dance courses at the Tiwatha Murdock, chairperson of the event, invites
everyone to “come and build a memory with us. As a community, it is
important that we support each other, especially our youth. This event will be
full of excitement, entertainment, food, fashion, music, and dancing from the
Ohio Youth Ballet, the OYB dance team, and special guests. We sincerely hope
that you will join us for this extraordinary fund raiser. Be prepared to enjoy
yourself." “Dancing with the Stars” Silent Auction is
the major benefit for the non-profit pre-professional OYB. Funds raised go
toward outreach programs, costumes, studio rental, choreography, promotions,
rehearsals and other areas. Companies and individuals can still
make donations of auction items, or become sponsors to help make the evening
even more of a success. Tickets are $75; and $125 per couple. Dinner is
included. For more information, call 330-854-1417. Ticket request forms are
