Orchestra Performs Space-themed Concert on April 5 Program to Feature Popular Scores from Motion Pictures and
Television March 17, 2008 – Chagrin Falls, Ohio – The
Chagrin Light Orchestra (Chagrin Light) announces that “Star Light: A
Space Odyssey”—a space-themed concert and the last of its 2007-08
season—will be performed on Saturday, April 5, 2008, at 8 p.m, at the
Chagrin Valley Little Theatre. The concert will feature popular scores
from timeless science fiction classics, including Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back; E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial; Star Trek’s original
theme and select scores from Deep Space
Nine, The Inner Light, The Next Generation, Voyager, and The Motion Picture; and Close Encounters of the Third Kind, as
well as classical works including Holst (The
Planets) Mars made famous in the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. “Chagrin
Light Orchestra is grateful for the outpouring of support from the A
patron reception—beginning at 7 p.m. and hosted by Chagrin Light’s
musical director includes admittance to a social gathering of Chagrin Light
supporters, spirits and appetizers courtesy of Gamekeeper’s Taverne, and
concert ticket—and is available for $50 per person. Tickets for the
