[NEohioPAL] Come party with us at The Rapture Reception Party! May 10th

James V. Geier, Todd Metzendorf, Ray Elkin, Kyle Znamenak, and Johnny K. Wu of The Rapture LLC proudly invite you to the Reception Party for the film The Rapture, on Saturday, May 10th, 2008 at 9:00 PM.  Come network with prominent local artists, community leaders, State & city officials, cast & crew, and friends!

As you may know, The Rapture - which is already winning awards - is an anime-styled sci-fi feature film written by Johnny Wu and James Geier and filmed here in Ohio with over 500+ visual effects, martial arts, wire-fu stunts, and of course, an actual story!

The Reception Party is being held in conjunction with the Ohio Independent Film Festival (OIFF), a truly independent festival organized by the nonprofit group Independent Pictures (www.ohiofilms.com). The party is open to the public, and will immediately follow the official premiere screening of The Rapture, which was sold out in Jan, 2008 within 6 hours of tickets going on-sale.  Please note that you do not need to attend the premiere screening in order to attend the Reception Party; all are welcome!  (However, it would be great if you could support OIFF by purchasing tickets to the Festival or to the second screening of The Rapture, to be held the following day – Sunday, May 11, 2008 – at 12:00 noon.  Tickets for the second screening can be purchased online by going to ticketweb.com and searching for The Rapture.)

A number of prominent guests will be in attendance at the Reception Party, including:

- Cleveland Film Commissioner, Mr. Ivan Schwarz;

-  The Director of the Department of Community Relations of the City of Cleveland, Mr. Blaine Griffin;

- Many governmental officials from the State of Ohio, the City of Cleveland, and the City of Port Clinton;

- Leaders from the Business, Arts, Cultural, and Ethnic communities.

- Mr. Kreig W. Vens, author of the award-winning novel Trail of Bodies, on which our next feature film project will be based.  Mr. Vens will be available to sign copies of his book at the party.  (However, only a very limited number of copies will be available for purchase at the party.  You are encouraged to purchase Trail of Bodies at Amazon, Barnes&Noble, Borders or www.kwvens.net and bring it to the Reception Party to be autographed.)
