of a young girl who has been promised as a human sacrifice by her own father in
order to insure success in the Trojan War. Drawing on two plays by Euripides,
“Iphigenia in World-renowned dancer and drummer
Habib Iddrisu composed the percussion score, performed by two of his students. The production explores the powerful
pull of love and darkness in a father-daughter relationship and looks at the
many ways in which parents may sacrifice their young to irresistible social
pressures. |
