The Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall


Csárdás Dance Company is pleased to announce that its Youth Ensemble will be performing on stage with The Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall for 3 performances in April.  Csárdás Youth Ensemble will perform to Brahms Hungarian Dances 5 and 6 and Dvorák Slavonic Dance No. 1.  Founder Richard Graber, and former Artistic director, Christopher Smith, visited Cleveland from Houston, Texas to choreograph a work to the Brahms' and  Dvorák dances. Smith currently is staff at Pearland H.S. Independent School District and Graber is Special Events Manager at the Houston Arts Alliance.

The performances are Friday, April 18 at 12:00 noon for a special educational concert for schools only, and Saturday, April 19 at 11:00 am and 1:30 pm in conjunction with the Family Concert Series.  Ticket information can be found on The Cleveland Orchestra?s web site at www.clevelandorch.com/ or by calling (216) 231-1111 or (800) 686-1141.

Csárdás Dance Company has performed previously at Severance Hall in conjunction with the Family Concerts in November 2005.  At that time, they performed to traditional Hungarian music in Reinberger Hall.
