[NEohioPAL] She Stoops to Conquer at CSU Dramatic Arts

You are cordially invited…

She Stoops to Conquer is Irish playwright Oliver Goldsmith’s hysterical “laughing comedy”, originally staged in 1773 at London’s Covent Garden Theatre and a popular mainstay in American and European theatre seasons ever since.

When you walk into the Factory Theatre, you will enter the candlelit world of the 18th century, with orange-sellers, costumed magicians, and an audience that is as much a part of the action as the actors.  Mistaken identities, an ambitious wife, a lovable lout, a shy young man who can only court women of a lower station, a clever young woman who poses as a housemaid, stolen jewels, and a madcap ending make this a production not to miss.
