"Expect Respect" Performance Troupe
AUDITIONS
A part of JFSA's Family Violence Services
Actors, ages 14 - 20, needed for roles in the one-act drama "Expect Respect", an educational production on violence in teenage relationships that will tour locally throughout the school year.
Rehearsals will take place from mid-June through August.
Troupe will travel to local area high schools, youth groups and organizations during the 2007-2008 school year.
Roles: 7 high school students and a substitute teacher (3-4 female and 4-5 male roles).

More about the play:
This play is a 40 minute production which illustrates abusive teen relationships in contrast with healthy relationships on both a peer-to-peer and dating level. It will be presented to high school students and youth groups in the context of discussions about violence among young people.
Roles include:
Phil: the school's football champion
Jen: Phil's sarcastic girlfriend
Ted: the guy who learned about controlling women from his dad
Christine: Ted's girlfriend
Debbie: the new girl
Brian: the class "geek"
Andy: a buddy of Ted and Phil's who is interested in Debbie
Drama teacher: forces the class to look at their behaviors
