A bunch of people had emailed me asking if you could intern AND participate in the competition...the answer is yes, but the team you're on cannot win any awards (other than audience awards). To many filmmakers who just want to make a film & have it screened this is not a big deal; others want to be judged to have the chance to move on in the competition. So please consider this if you're thinking about becoming an intern.
Also, please email all resumes to cleveland@48hourfilm, and put 48HFP INTERN in the subject line, because I am old and easily confused. Many thanks!

Want to be involved in the film industry? This is your chance! The 48 Hour Film Project is the largest international timed film competition. Last year's contest took place in over 70 cities across the globe and ended at this year's Miami International Film Festival with Filmapalooza, the national 48 Hour Film competition. This year the 48 Hour Film Project will return to Cleveland where teams will have 48 hours to write, produce, and edit their short films before they are screened at the Cedar Lee Theatre.
I'm currently seeking several interns to help out with this year's competition. This is an unpaid internship, but an excellent chance to network with the local film community, attend all of the 48HFP networking and
wrap parties, and help out with an exciting competition weekend! Intern duties will include marketing, helping secure sponsorship, recruiting filmmakers to participate, helping organize networking and wrap parties, assisting in mastering the finished films, and helping out at the film competition weekend and screenings. The date for this year's contest has yet to be officially announced, but will most likely be July 31-Aug 2, with screenings the following Wednesday and Thursday. IMPORTANT: Interns have the ability to work from other locations (i.e. if you're away at school right now) in the spring/early summer, but interns MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR THE COMPETITION WEEKEND AND FOLLOWING WEEK! Preference will be given to those who are also available for the networking parties in the spring/early summer.

To be considered for the internship please send a resume and short letter of interest to cleveland@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Please do NOT reply to this email!
Thanks!
