THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK
Dramatized by Frances Goodrich & Albert Hackett
Based upon the book Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl

Directed by Angela Miloro

 

The Ohio Arts Council helped fund this program through a grant to the Geauga Lyric Theater with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans.
 
This will be a small  ensemble of ALL TEENS ages 13-18

5 young men, 5 young women
 
READ CAREFULLY----this is tricky:

 

The show will be performed April 9-11 at the Geauga Lyric Theater Guild.
 
Performances will also be done at area schools.  All cast MUST BE AVAILABLE TO MISS 2-3 DAYS OF SCHOOL between April 15-20.  The cast will be traveling to several local schools to perform.

We are waiting to confirm with the schools which dates they would like, and will have them by the day of the audition.
 
To audition--you must be 13-18.
If cast, you must read the diary.
 
Auditions will be February 4 and 5 at the GLTG Arts Center (Annex), 6-9pm.

Callbacks will be held February 6 at 1:00pm at the Arts Center.
 
Please prepare a short contemporary dramatic monologue. 

We are also looking for help with tech.
 
Casting will be based on the overall best person for the role--your reading, stance, interpretation of the part. Looks are less important.  However, there are several adult roles in this show that will need to be filled by teens, so a certain maturity onstage is a must!
