Re: clothing/tool allowance
At the Harvard Univ. Art Museums we get a clothing allowance
for items directly related to and used only at the Museum. This typically
means safety shoes and eye wear for people who need or are expected
to use them. Tools for the job are totally covered.
Good luck,

Dear List
Members,
I would like to know how many preparators out there get some
kind of annual personal work clothing and/or tool allowance, or get
personal work clothing or tool purchases reimbursed by your
institutions? If so, for what kinds of items are you reimbursed,
and what is your approximate spending limit?
Thank you,
