Karen,
In Houston, we have a
local vendor by the name of Sterling Manufacturing where we get our poly
products. They make a product they refer to as polylam. It is a
polyethylene laminated product that is softer than 2.2 poly plank. It has
memory and works well for packing and storage. We have used it in the
past, but I prefer not to use it because it is too soft, it crushes too
easily under even a slight weight. It might be a product that you can
use. Their phone number is (713) 695-5333.

Subject: polyethylene foam plank
Hello all.
I am looking for a polyethylene "Ethafoam" plank in a lower
density than 2.2 lbs for packing and long-term storage.
We temporary pack and move art work between our museums and around
campus, using the grey polyurethane foam because it is so soft.
I am looking for a Polyethylene alternative in a low density that
is soft enough for packing, but can also translate into long term storage
mounts.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks.
