schott glass

Hello members,

 i have a question about Schott glass. We have a large exhibition of 

paintings  from our collection going  to 5 venues in Japan next year. 

We have been asked to glaze our paintings with Shott glass. I have 

some safety concerns (no matter how well the crate is constructed), 

to say the least. Would anyone with experience with this product who 

has sent it overseas care to weigh in?  Any information from your 

point of view would be welcome. The paintings have some size to them.
