PACIN Workshop
To PACIN,
Just a reminder to all of you
planning to attend the Annual AAM Conference in Denver later this month, PACIN
is planning a workshop on Thursday, May 1st on "Object Loans: A Perspective, or
The Life of a Museum Loan and How to Sleep at Night and Stop Worrying About It".
We have speakers from every aspect of a museum loan, a Registrar for Loans, a
Conservation Scientist, a Conservator, Art Shippers, Art Handlers, and an Expert
on Risk Management. Some of the topics presented will cover things to consider
when an object goes out on loan, how it should be sent, what kind of packing
should it have, what type of materials should be used for the packing, travel
worthiness, and insurance. It promises to be an informative and interesting
workshop and I hope you will be there. Attendance to the workshop must be
purchased from AAM when you register for the conference. We will be unable to
sell tickets at the door. I look forward to seeing you at the
workshop.
