Richard, We have been the lucky ones. Thanks and
good luck. Mike Hascall From:
pacinlist-bounces@pacin.org [mailto:pacinlist-bounces@pacin.org] On Behalf Of Andi Alameda Hello to all. We had a very nice workshop at the AAM Conference in Denver on Museum
Loans. It was well attended and we had some great speakers. I would like to
thank the speakers, Erika Franek, from the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Scott Atthowe
from Atthowe Fine Art Services in San Francisco; Paul Marcon from the Canadian
Conservation Institute in Ottowa; Kele McComsey from Surroundart in New York;
Camilla J. Van Vooren from the Western Center for the Conservation of Fine Arts
in Denver; Reid Schell from Fremont Frameworks LLC in Lander, Wyoming; and Mark
Lank from U. S. Art Company, Inc. Their contributions were what made the
workshop a success. Victoria France of Willis Fine Art, Jewelry, and Specie was
scheduled to speak on insurance issues but at the last minute was unable to
attend. Victoria we missed you, but we’ll find a place for you at a
future workshop. I would also like to thank the PACIN Steering Committee for all the
help they gave me in putting this workshop together. Without their help and
advice, the workshop would not have been realized. A lot of additional help was
given from Andi Alameda, Ashley McGrew, Scott Atthowe, Bryan Cooke, Karen
Christensen, Brent Powell, Kim Powell, Mike Hascal, Mike Otto, and Mark
Starling. So Many people were involved with making this workshop a success;
please forgive me if I have forgotten anyone. The workshop was my last official function as the Chair of PACIN. Brent
Powell will be taking over as the new Chair. Brent was the Chair very early in
PACIN’s history and brought about many good things, such as our
publications, and some very memorable workshops. Brent hopes to bring about
many new changes in PACIN that I am very excited about. Look for him to be
sending out a letter to all of PACIN’s members very soon. It has been my honor to serve as the Chair of PACIN for the last few
years. I wish all of you my best and hope to see you in Philadelphia. Richard Hinson |
