{Collins} Re: Primer for KWM2-A case




Zinc chromate primer is commonly available in spray cans from any marine
dealer or boathouse. It's the right thing to use for bare aluminum. Be sure
to lightly "buff" the aluminum with fairly fine sandpaper first to allow it
a grip, and then clean the surface well with a volatile non-residue-leaving
solvent. Lacquer thinner works for me. Even the oil from your fingers will
cause cratering and fish eyes.
