    They are N connectors which are very common in military circles as well as
UHF frequency applications.  You will also find these in use on the output of
the 30L-1 and 30S-1.  Cushcraft offers them as an option on the their UHF beams
and most high quality coax switches and RF relays are offered ( at a higher cost
) with an N connector option.  You can get adapters to convert for use with
PL-259's.  You can also get easy to use 2-piece N connectors from several
sources such as Cable Experts to make up your own cables.
