{Collins} Re: SM-1 microphone

The Heil HC series elements fit nicely into the SM-1. I bought an S-Line
complete with an SM-1. When I opened it up, it had a Heil HC-5 element
inside. Some will say that it doesn't have enough drive for the S-Line/KWM-2,
but mine has plenty. I have been told, however, that my EV-664, Astatic 10-D,
and D-104 all sound better than the HC-5. The HC-4 might be a better choice,
particularly if you are looking for "punch" over fidelity.
