If you can't locate one here is a possible fix:

Hardware stores used to sell bronze weather strip for use in outside door 
jambs. The stuff is about the same thickness as the strap in your KWS-1, 
but much wider.  You may be able to cut a strip the right width from such 
weather proofing material and make a replacement.
