{Collins} Re: RG-62A



Correct, RG-62/U is 93 ohms.

Any major IBM computer (mainframe) center in the 1980s and 1990s had miles 
of RG-62/U .. it is used as the coax to
connect IBM 3174 and 3274 cluster controllers to the 3270 display terminals.

Datapoint (San Antonio, TX) also used RG-62/U for their ARCnet token-passing 
network

Miles of this cabling have been sent to dumps and metal recyclers over past 
10 years (Y2K upgrades were also a great time to pick up a lifetimes worth 
of this cable size) ... as the switch to Token-Ring or Ethernet occurred in 
the 1990s.
