Now that I'm on this subject, I had a NOS cb microphone checker which =
is no
more that a little op amp into a speaker with matching sockets for the
different cb mikes. You could plug numerous types in and just see if it =
was
working.   Naturally, a high impedance mike on the tester did zilch.  I =
put
one of the Heil xfmrs in the mike checker to go from high to low Z =
(with a
068 socket) and it still wouldn't work with a D-104.  Am I overlooking

I about to finish the restoration of my KWM2A, the radio is now  =

I test the radio with a Normal Z microphone, about 600  Ohms, and =

normaly I only have 40- 50 Watts in the output, if  Im speak loud, the =
KWM2A

reach 100 Watts.

Maybe I can use a  microphone preamplifier, but Im afraid about  =
overloading

the first microphone  amplifier, or maybe Modify the  input in order to =

accept a low Z microphone ( but my "purist " soul refuses to  make that =
hi
hi).
