{Collins} Diodes FS

Hello to the List -
I have purchased a bunch of  NEW diodes.  They are IN5408.  Rating is 1000 PRV, 3 amps.

I have sample tested some of these diodes.  Leakage current is less that 1 uA at 1050vDC reverse (limit of my variable PS).  I have also run 2 amps continuous through these diodes (need to heat-sink leads).  Details of testing available.  The diodes are suitable for nearly any high voltage application.

These diodes are available in packages of 20.  I believe they are an great electrical replacement for original "top-hat" diodes in the 30L-1 (uses 16).  I'm in the process of working mine over.   One of the originals in my 30L-1 was shorted putting excessive voltage on the remaining 7 in that string.

NOTE!! Because of the 3 amp rating on these diodes, the leads are used as a heat sink and are .050" in diameter.  The pads on the 30L-1 diode board will have to be drilled out to .052 from their present .036 +/-".  This is not a difficult task, but does involve a "modification" of the 30L-1 diode board.
