{Collins} Re: 75S1 Receiver For Sale

I just wanted to mention to the list that the first one or two hundred
75S-1s were built with an incorrect bias resistor on the 6BF5. I had to
run the audio gain on mine (serial 7x) at 12 o'clock or higher. Once I
found the problem and replaced the resistor it runs at about 9 o'clock,
like the later S-Line receivers. I don't remember the values off hand,
but if anyone has an early 75S-1 with what appears to be low audio gain,
let me know and I will look up the part number, original and correct
values. The values on the later 75S-1 schematics (or 75S-3 or 75S-3B)
are correct.

Subject: {Collins} 75S1 Receiver For Sale

I have an Excellent to Mint 75S1, Serial # 140, for sale. There is no
CW filter, or noise blanker. The power cord has been replaced and is
labeled "Replacement Cable". This receiver came from a non-smoking
environment and is immaculate. This is not a restoration unit. I'm
asking $450 plus shipping.
