{Collins} Re: Malfunctioning DL-1 dummy load

K1 is a Potter and Brumfield KT11A, and I seem to remember that there is a
modern equivalent still in production by whatever company picked up Potter
and Brumfield. I was looking for one a while back for one of my DL-1s. But,
I have forgotten where to find them.

One thing to check is that you have a good ground from the 32S-3 to the
DL-1, since one side of that relay is grounded to the chassis. And, yes, it
is a 6.3 VAC relay.

I just bought a DL-1 and the relay doesn't work properly.....it buzzes and
will not close. I am supplying it with 6.3 vac from the 32S-3. It acts
like
it's a d.c. coil used with a.c. The relay and coil look original. Anyone
out there have any thoughts? I have not tried to supply it with 6 volts
d.c.
I purchased it from a reputable dealer who assured me that it was working
properly. It's a nice little box and I don't want to return it! Any help
appreciated.
