{Collins} Re: Collins KWM-2 Blower kit Price



For my 32S-1, I simply placed a 12VDC computer type fan that fit between the final amp cage and the exciter tuning mechanism. The fan is not so big or bulky as to intefer with the exciter tuning movements. The fan blows against the final amp cage. The fan just sits in place with no attachement. Works for me.

When I get around to it I will use 6.3VAC from a rear panel phone jack to drive a voltage doubler DC power supply for the fan. Then the fan will turn on and off with the unit..

A lot of users put the fans in series to slow them down. They still have adequate air flow to do the job and run quieter.
