Re: {Collins} Fw: Re: 30L-1 Problem

You should not run the 30L-1 relay connection directly into a 380, it will pop the relay in it. You need to use an
interface.

KWM-380 PROBLEM SOLVED,

I had the amp relay to the 30L-1 plugged into the "ant rly" jack on 380... and not the amp ctl jack :) Actually this would have worked had it not been internally strapped to ground!!!!!!!!!

MORAL: Check connections (I had worked on the 380 and obviously reconnected things wrong!)

First... Thanks to all who responded to my plea for help!!!

As it turns out, the "assumed" problem(s) with the 30L-1 don't really exist! The amp is perfect... as are all the resistors and relay.

The problem is... the amp control relay in the KWM-380 is staying energized...

Oh well, gave me a chance to oil the fan and dust... Now on to the problem in the 380!

I think I had this happen once and one of the those little 2 or 10 ohm
resistors was tkane out when a tube went bad. Or at least that's what I
recall. maybe before you start unbottoning the whole thing..check the
tubes out.
