{Collins} Kwm 2a problem

I just fired up a old KWM 2a and have not transmit. The rig  receives  ok
but when I put it in the tune slot the grid-plate-alc meter  goes all the way
to the left...Before i go and tear this thing apart does anyone  have any
ideas what the problem might be?
