Re: {Collins} Meter repair

I would like to comment I just had a meter for Hickok tube tester made right by Eldad.
He charged $50 plus the cost of shipping both ways
I think that was very reasonable considering the condition of the meter. B*A*D Two of the specialty tube tester repair prima donnas wouldn't touch it. One place wanted $175 for a new meter And, he will inspect it and advise if it is repairable and what the charge will be prior to repairing and there is no charge for the inspection / evaluation.
I am very pleased to have found and be able to recommend his services.
Oh, and all this took about 2 weeks total out-repair-return time

I have used:

Not cheap but I have no complaints about his work.

Good afternoon to the group, I have a 51S-1 that the meter sticks about 3/4 of the way up. I took it to a local watchmaker and he couldn't fix it but said that everything looked OK and nothing was broken. Is there anyone out there who does meter repair?
