I think you mean "Torx".

Torx drive is NOT compatible with a Bristol drive. Same is true for a standard hex drive. It may work....once.

I'd also bet you have succeeded in destroying the splines in the Bristol set screw such that at some later date, if there's an attempt to use proper Bristol wrench, it won't work.

At this point, you best bet is to replace the set screw with either the proper Bristol version, or, use a more common hex drive set screw. The various threads ARE compatible, but the drives are not.
