Re: {Collins} 180L-2 Tuner

Dave,

This requires 28VDC at 2 amps and 115v 400Hz, 15 watts, as well as 250 or
400VDC (can be strapped for either).  It will not work on 60Hz, don't try it.
It was intended to work with the 18S series transmitters which supply the DC...
  Have fun.

Subject: {Collins} 180L-2 Tuner

Hi All:

Has anyone ever put the 180L-2 in operation using 120VAC/60 Hz, or is there a
reasonable power converter available for it,

AND does it need a control unit to operate or just being connected to power and
RF.

I haven't been able to find much info on it either.

I have one new in the box I would like to use with my 380.

Thanks,

Dave WA3HSC
