Re: {Collins} 32S-1 No Grid Drive

Check the 6CL6 driver tube.  Bad final tubes are also suspect.  But, check the driver first.

The tone oscillator going bad can result in little, or no, grid drive in the tune position.  However, if, somehow, you get the lower stages tuned properly, a bad tone oscillator won't affect SSB operation.

Subject: {Collins} 32S-1 No Grid Drive
I was using my 32S-1 a few weeks ago and the output started decreasing.  I
tried to retune the transmitter but had weak grid drive.  Now I have no
grid drive at all on any bands.  The band switch is clean.  So that isn't
the problem.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks  Terry
