Re: {Collins} 30L1 Fan Motor Oil

Many folks have recommended sewing machine oil. So my wife took a look for
some with her sewing supplies. What she found was some Singer sewing
machine lubricant but it is non-flowing compound. In the process I found
some very light chain oil but it is a mineral oil.

Then I remembered I have some air tool oil. Very light viscosity,
penetrating, and designed for high speed. I think it will be perfect for
the application.

I did get several endorsements for 3-in-1 and I suspect it would work just
fine if not over-done.

Always great information on this reflector...lots of experience.

Thank you all...

I use my wifes sewing machine oil. Her industrial machine has a regular
maintenance schedule. I added a line in her schedule to oil my fan every
18 months. That was 4 years ago and my 30L1 fan spins freely. The fan is in
it's 42nd year of operation.
