If the tube is listed on that particular tester's tube data sheet, I would
assume it had adequate capability. That said, it probably is NOT a good
idea to lock down the test key.
On mine, the fuse lamp glows rather brightly when testing either 811-A's
or 572B's. For that matter, it is also bright for 6146's and 5U4's as
well.

Yes, all data sheets I can find show 6.3 volts at 4 amps.
The concern is whether any particular tube tester can happily deliver 4
amps at 6.3 volts.
